Buckle up away we go!

Buckle up away we go!

And here we are dear beer drinkers! As we recently announced we begin our journey in search of this beer oasis of ours, in this desert of Serbia. This comparison of Serbia with a desert is quite appropriate because I must admit, it is not easy to find an authentic pub (especially outside of Belgrade), or at least something close to it, which deviates from the gray colored everyday life and the clichés of modern cafes. . But these places do actually exist and that's what we are here to talk about. It's not only a beer that makes a g
ood pub, several things make a pub, the interior, the music, the atmosphere that prevails, and the staff that works there altogether make a cohesion that provides a complete and enjoyable experience. But why am I telling you all of this...all of us on this blog (both us authors and you readers) know very well what we are seeking, that's why we meet on this site. Then without further ado let us begin at last! The first, of hopefully many, pubs of which we write is the "Old London Pub", for the simple reason that it's the most recent pub we visited. So here we GO!

                                                    London calling!

" Oi oi "Mate we have to visit a place these days! Luke and I bumped into the other day, we drank some beer, shot some pool and played darts, it's an amazing place you'll see, it has a vast choice of beers! It's called London pub ". - "Okay, just let me know when and where, there’s no need of convincing." That's how the agreements work  between my friend and colleague Nemanja and myself when it comes to joining a therapy of sorts (there's too much stress in the everyday life, there has to be time of taking care of the self)and so it happens.Friday noon after school,my brothers by beer and I take off to „London“, a Slovak, a Greek i three Serbs. It sounds as it's the beginning of a bad joke,well...it's not,but there is however too much joking around when we get together. As my friend Nemanja would say: „It's not how god makes us but how he pairs us“! So we go by foot from (Green Wreath:Literally) or zelenjak(colloquially) till we get to „Gavrila Principa“ 46 str  where we finally arrive to our destination.

Our first impression actually was :  ‘’what the fuck?!’’ how does it differ from all the ordinary caffes?A garden up front(it's actually nice during summertime to sit and enjoy some sports)the front part, after entering is nicely done and decorated. However that's not what we are looking for.On the left side there are stairs taking you to the upper level, the part for the non-smokers if you will (we didn't even bother to check it out because of the three of my friends that smoke like chimneys) and so we go down below ''into the dungeons''as would Laza say.
Front part
Upstairs(no-smokers part)

Rock made Bar
What we encountered below significaly improved our impressions and also justified our arrival. A pretty nice place, with a relaxed and warm atmosphere, good music (mostly rock),welcoming staff (just don't ask them for coffe or fresh squeezed orange juice, you'll mess up their buzz)there are less tables and places to sit downstairs than upstairs but its pretty spacious. A big made of rock bar, two pool tables, darts, foosball and pinball and most important a vast offer of beer, for every taste and demand.
Downstairs tables

Drafts
On tap there are Lav, Budweiser, Calsberg, Erdinger, Meminger and belgian Grimbergen, you can order a pint and also you can order you own table draft of 3lt. There is also big selection of bottled beers from Serbian, German, British, Belgian, Dutch, Danish, Russian, to those "across the pond" American and Mexican. The pity is that there is only bottled Guiness of 0.33lt but it is what it is... the prices are fair. For example whiskey shots are from 175din(around 1.40eu) to 335(around 3eu).As for coffee, juice, coctails etc its better not to ask us for we didn't care to look at nothing else but beer.
We believe the prices are fair as well. You should also know that if you are hungry this particular pub will not offer you food. This facility is only inclusive to those of you who are seeking a drink with friends or some gigs during weekends. All in all "Old London Pub''left us a pretty good impression and we recommend you to come in the afternoon for a beer with some pool and darts, or to have a good time on weekends,at least we did. A little joking around in the afternoon with a 3lt draft of Bud,pool and darts.

So as the prons we would count the good atmosphere, the great beer selection at a decent price, plenty of opportunities for fun and as unlike some other facilities, you can order a pint or a draft.
As for the cons we would say(for us personaly at least)the no draft-Guiness and there is nothing to eat except peanuts that goes with the draft.

So to summarize we will evaluate the pub with a grade from 1 to 5 and this gets a 3.9. Perhaps some of you believe that it deserves more and some believe it deserves less, but keep in mind that this is just the first post, so for now we can't give a more stable evaluation.

Beer catalog
That’s more or less what we had to say. If there’s anything else we forgot to mention that you want to know, who gives a shit?Go look for yourselves. Just kidding. That’s why the comment section exists, for your to write what you want and also your opinions, for us to know in the future. So just sit, relax and expect more posts soon.Cheers!
